Vishtèn

Prince Edward Island and the windswept Magdalen Islands, this is where the trio Vishtèn comes from, and their music is both a celebration of their Acadian roots and an embracing of Celtic and other Maritime folk traditions - traditions that find connections stretching south to Cajun Louisiana and across the Atlantic to the Shetlands. There’s accordion, fiddle, flutes and vocals. There’s foot percussion, bodhran and step-dancing. With a wealth of traditional and original tunes in hand, expect some musical magic.
